Kevi 2051 Stool 05-Black

Every home has one stool that does five jobs and never asks for a raise. It is the extra seat when friends arrive unannounced, the step to the top cupboard, the bedside table at midnight and the perch for pulling on boots in the hallway. In black, it does all of this with the deadpan elegance of a stagehand in dark clothes: always there, never in the way.

Jørgen Rasmussen's Kevi 2051 stands 47 cm tall, which is also its seat height, on a square top that measures 42.5 by 42.5 cm. Wood and lacquered metal are both finished in 05 Black, a tone that disappears into dark corners and sharpens light ones. Slide a few under a kitchen counter, scatter one beside the sofa, or keep one by the front door for the shoes-off ceremony. It is the small stool with a big résumé.
