GUBI Multi-Lite

The GUBI Multi-Lite series is a lamp family with two rotating shades, drawn by Louis Weisdorf in 1972. This page shows Multi-Lite pendants, floor lamps, portable lamps, table lamps and wall lights in brass, chrome and colour combinations such as Chrome & Black and Brass & White.

GUBI Multi-Lite: two shades that turn

Multi-Lite was drawn by Louis Weisdorf in 1972. The base consists of two cylindrical shapes, with a metal ring as a point of rotation for the two outer shades. By turning them, the lamp can give light upwards, downwards or asymmetrically.

Models and finishes

The pendant is the largest group, in small, medium and large, and the series also includes floor lamps, portable lamps, table lamps and wall lights. Finishes include brass and chrome, often combined with Black or White, and colours such as Midnight Blue and Desert Sage. The wall version can be tilted and rotated, so it works by a bed, over a sideboard or in an entrance.

Using Multi-Lite

Because the light can be changed, Multi-Lite suits different rooms. See GUBI Pendants and chandeliers and the brand at GUBI.
