Panton One Dining Chair 601-PaperNature/05-Black

Sunday lunch, the window open an inch, and a table covered with bread crumbs and unfinished sentences: this is where a paper-string chair belongs. The seat is woven from paper string in natural tones, so it brings a hint of the outdoors to the dining room, like a basket at a picnic, only far more sophisticated. Warm, textured and lightly rustic, it softens a room without apologising.

Verner Panton's Panton One Dining Chair stands 87 cm tall, 54 cm wide and 55 cm deep, with a seat height of 49 cm and a weight of 4.5 kg. Here the 601 PaperNature paper string is paired with a lacquered metal frame in 05 Black, a graphic contrast that looks sharp against a pale wooden table. Easy to carry, easy to like, and happy to be part of a long, slow meal where nobody checks the time.
