Normann Copenhagen Rugs

Normann Copenhagen rugs range from the rounded Oona to the hand-tufted wool designs Level, Flick and Seam. This page gathers the rugs in different sizes, shapes, colours and textures, to ground a living room, a bedroom or a dining area. Soft edges and quiet colours run through much of the range.

Normann Copenhagen rugs: Oona, Level and Seam

Normann Copenhagen rugs combine a calm look with careful detail. Oona, designed by Simon Legald in 2013, has soft curves that are neither round nor square, and a plain surface broken by a recessed line in a contrasting colour. It comes in Blue, grey, Mint, Rose and Sand, and in sizes such as 90 x 200, 140 x 140 and 175 x 240 cm.

Tailoring and patchwork

Level and Seam are by Urd Moll, whose fashion background shows in the tailoring-inspired construction. The Level rug is hand-tufted in 100% wool with varying pile heights, so a single colour appears to shift in tone. It comes in Light Yellow and Warm Grey, in several sizes and a round Ø280 version. Seam is available in blue and grey tones in 170x240 and 200x300. Flick is hand-tufted from New Zealand wool, with two colours that merge into a patchwork-like pattern, in Off White combined with Brown, Dark Green or Burgundy.

Placing a rug

Oona suits a space under the coffee table, in front of the bed or beneath the dining table. A larger rug anchors a seating group, so it helps if the front legs of the sofa rest on it. The rugs sit alongside furniture from Normann Copenhagen.
