Kartell U Shine: an Art Deco-inspired design object

U Shine is designed by Eugeni Quitllet and combines Art Deco-inspired shapes with modern materials and technology. The geometric silhouette and the symmetrical lines give it a sculptural look. The transparent or solid-coloured PMMA adds a light and elegant finish. It functions as a practical piece and as an eye-catching design object.

Colours and pairing

U Shine comes in Blue, Crystal, Green, Pink and Smoked Grey. It stands well on its own, or together with its companion, Kartell I Shine, which comes in the same colours and shares the faceted look. The series is a version of the same idea as its companion: sharp, geometric lines in a light material. Placed on a sideboard, the piece catches the light and reflects the colours around it. A single bowl in Crystal makes a quiet statement, while a group in several colours gives a lively display.
