Fritz Hansen Orient: a 1960s classic
Orient was designed by Jo Hammerborg for Fritz Hansen in 1963. The lamp was very popular in the 1960s and 1970s and has now been relaunched. The shade is made of copper and the top of rosewood, which gives the lamp an exclusive expression.
Light and sizes
Orient gives a direct light and works well above a dining table. The pendant is made in P1, P2 and P3, with aluminium, black and copper shades.
Placing Orient
A single large Orient is enough over a table, and the smaller sizes can hang in a row. See the Fritz Hansen pendants, or Fritz Hansen. The classic shape fits both older and modern homes, and the three sizes let the pendant work alone over a table or in a group of two or three.
