Designed by George Nelson in 1952, the Nelson Bubble Pendant series remains one of the most celebrated lighting collections in modern design. Combining sculptural forms with an innovative construction, each pendant offers a light, floating expression while creating a soft and inviting atmosphere. The translucent shade diffuses the light evenly, delivering comfortable illumination with minimal glare, making the collection equally suited above dining tables, coffee tables and in open living spaces.

Every shade is handcrafted around a lightweight steel frame before being coated with a durable translucent polymer. This distinctive production method allows the entire shade to illuminate evenly, giving the pendants their characteristic floating appearance and a warm, balanced light. The collection includes a variety of silhouettes, each offering its own character. Apple and Ball provide soft, all-round illumination, Saucer distributes light across wider surfaces, while Cigar creates a more vertical expression. Sculptural designs such as Pear, Lantern, Propeller, Roll and Angled Sphere each add their own distinctive identity while sharing the same comfortable lighting experience.

The pendants feature an E27 socket and are designed for LED light sources. The light source is sold separately, allowing you to choose the brightness and colour temperature that best suits your space. Depending on the selected light source, the pendants can be dimmed when used with a compatible external dimmer.
