Replacing a dimmer switch - what should you keep in mind?
In this video, where you’ll be replacing your old dimmer switch with a new one, it’s important to start by turning off the power to your light fixture before you begin disassembling the dimmer switch.

When opening the dimmer, it is also important to note that the neutral wires (the blue ones) are connected to the (N) neutral terminal and that the phase wires (the brown ones) are correctly connected to the (PH) phase terminal and to the terminal to the left of the (N) neutral terminal, which is marked with a ‘light bulb’ icon.
For the wire running from the light fixture to the dimmer, the phase wire must be inserted into the outlet marked with the ‘light bulb’ icon, while the wire running from the plug to the dimmer must be inserted into the (PH)ase outlet.
You may want to mark these connections with a marker so you don’t forget the correct connections.
The exact placement of the wires varies depending on the type of dimmer you have.
We at AndLight therefore recommend that you always take a photo or make a note of how the wires are connected before disassembling the dimmer, as we have observed significant differences between individual dimmers.
