Contemporary design within the historic Palads cinema 

In 2025, AndLight Contract collaborated with Nordisk Film Biografer to create a new event space within the historic Palads building in Copenhagen, originally designed by Paul Gernes. With an interior rooted in the Danish design language of the 1960s and 70s, the task was to integrate contemporary elements that complement and respect the existing architecture. 

Materials such as soft bouclé, burned brass, fumed oak, and parchment tones are set against the original columns and ceiling details, forming a refined lounge and event space within the cinema. 

AndLight Contract was responsible for the design and delivery of all furniture and lighting. The project was completed and handed over in 2025.
