Developed for the Vipp guesthouse installation by Mesura presented during 3daysofdesign, the Mesura Edition Swivel chair carries the material language of the exhibition beyond the three-day event.Inside the Vipp Garage, Barcelona-based architecture studio Mesura transformed the Vipp guesthouse into an immersive playhouse, where a vibrant yellow textile unfolded across walls, floors, furniture and a communal conversation pit.

As a continuation of the installation, the Swivel chair is upholstered in the very same fabric used throughout the space, extending the story of the exhibition into a lasting object. Balancing softness and steel, the tactile upholstery contrasts the polished aluminium frame, echoing the central idea behind the installation: wrapping a visible steel construction in layers of warmth and texture. What began as a temporary environment for rest, conversation and play is reimagined as a chair designed for everyday use.
