Daiku Picture frame A3 Dark Oak

A photograph, a delicate pressed flower or a favourite print appears to float within the glass, allowing the object inside to take centre stage. Crafted from solid oak, Daiku pairs an extended glass surface with a wooden frame whose precise construction draws on traditional Japanese woodworking. The result is a frame that feels quietly sculptural, even before anything is placed inside it.

Created by Gejst Design and Amalie Bergholdt, the design takes its name from the Japanese word for carpenter and references the precision of Kumiko and Sashimono techniques. The glass extends beyond the oak structure, giving the frame its distinctive silhouette and making the space around the artwork part of the composition. Available with clear glass and natural oak or a darker combination with smoked background glass, Daiku offers different ways to display personal pieces without competing with them.
