Fritz Hansen table lamps with a strong character

The largest group of Fritz Hansen table lamps is Kaiser Idell, designed by Christian Dell in the Bauhaus tradition. The lamps are made in steel and brass, with hand-lacquered shades in glossy or matt paint and an engraved Kaiser Idell mark on the top. Models 6556 and 6631 Luxus come in black, matt black and white, and also in colours such as Olive Green, Venetian Red and Dark Green.

Night Owl, Clam and the modern models

Night Owl, by Nicholai Wiig Hansen, has a smooth transition between body and shade. The oval opal shade gives a warm light that scatters evenly and is directed downwards, which suits a desk or a bedside table. It comes in black, blue, polished steel and smoked white, some with an ash wood base. Clam is a table lamp in opal glass and brass, from the Musling family by Ahm & Lund. AQ01, MS021 and MS022 add simple, modern shapes in matt black, white and steel.

Placing a table lamp
