Audo Copenhagen candlesticks: Kubus and beyond
Kubus was designed by Mogens Lassen in 1962 and has been made in metal ever since. The simple form was drawn to gather people around the table, and it has become an international design icon. Kubus comes in several shapes and sizes, among them Kubus 1, 4 and 8 in black, white and ivory, plus Line versions, so two or more can be grouped on a shelf or the dining table. A base and a wall mount belong to the Kubus range as well.
Interconnect, Flambeau and Ignus
Interconnect is designed by Colin King for Audo from three geometric elements, a sphere, an angle and a line. It is a candlestick in polished brass, bronzed brass or stainless steel, in two lengths, W42.5 and W70, and also in black. Flambeau is inspired by French modernist lighting and is meant to look like a flickering flame; the metal back plate reflects the light of the candle, and it is a table and a wall candle holder. Ignus has flameless candlesticks in white in H15, H22.5 and H35. Duca is a candlestick in bronzed or polished brass.
