Vitra Belleville: a shell chair for outdoors
Belleville is a modern chair designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Vitra. It is built from two components, a frame and a seat shell. The slim black frame follows the lines of the legs and the back and carries the thin seat shell.
The seat shell
The shell thins out from the wide seat to a narrow backrest, which gives the chair its characteristic silhouette. It is made of plastic, which keeps the chair light and easy to move around as needed. The identity of Belleville is defined by this shell.
With or without armrests
The chair comes both without armrests and with armrests, in Deep Black. Place a few around a garden table, or see more seating for the terrace and garden under Vitra outdoor seating.
