Flos Casting by Vincent Van Duysen

Casting is a series of outdoor bollards designed by Vincent Van Duysen for Flos. He wanted to combine the Flos aesthetic with brutalist architecture, and the result is a simple, architectural shape that blends into most surroundings. Casting C is the more stark of the two, and Casting T has a glass shade that gives a pleasant and even light.

Heights and finishes

Both models come in three heights, H 200, H 500 and H 700, and in Anthracite Grey, Black, Deep Brown, Grey and White. A double-coated powder layer gives good resistance to the weather.

Using Casting

Bollards like these mark paths, borders and entrances. The low H 200 suits a short stretch along a bed or steps, while H 500 and H 700 light a wider area and read as sculptural elements in a garden.
