Artek 153: a light, durable bench
Bench 153 is a simple, elegant bench designed by Alvar Aalto in 1945. The seat is solid birch with vertical recesses that make the bench light and easy to move, while the laminated birch plywood gives strength. It is suitable in public spaces as well as in private outdoor spaces.
Sizes and finishes
Size A is L112.5 cm and fits a longer wall or a dining table, and size W is L72.5 cm, a compact seat for an entrance or a bedside. Both come in birch, black lacquered birch and white lacquered birch.
