What do you give a table that has everything? A chair that glints. Marcel's polyurethane seat on a brushed stainless frame has the cool, polished look of a gallery floor, and it carries a certain Nordic restraint: no show-off, just thoughtful shape and a little shimmer. The Panton One Dining Chair, designed by Verner Panton, is 87 cm high, 54 cm wide and 55 cm deep, with a 49 cm seat height and a weight of 4.5 kg. The seat is 609 Marcel, and the frame is 99 Stainless, a brushed finish that keeps fingerprints from shouting. It looks wonderful around a round table with a vase of tulips, or lined up like a row of quiet sculptures along a long white one. Easy to live with, difficult to forget.
