Kevi 2533 Office Chair 151-Rhubarb

Rhubarb is the one vegetable that blushes, and this chair has borrowed the trick. The colour is a dusty, rosy red: not a fire engine, more a pie cooling on a windowsill. Roll it up to a desk and the whole corner starts to look as if it enjoys its job, the way a room does when someone has finally dared to pick a colour.

Jørgen Rasmussen's Kevi 2533 is a swivel chair on castors with a veneer seat and back in 151 Rhubarb, mounted on a polished aluminium base that adds a cool, silvery glint. The seat adjusts between 38 and 51 cm, and the footprint is a modest 56 by 56 cm. Put it in a studio, a study or the corner of the bedroom where the laundry normally holds its parliament, and it will turn that corner into a place you actually want to sit, with a cup of tea and an unreasonable amount of ambition.
