Kevi 2060 Chair 300-Oak/44C-Chrome

Some chairs shout; this one clinks gently, like a spoon against a good teacup. Warm oak plus a flash of chrome makes a Sunday-brunch chair, the sort that sits through three rounds of coffee and a heated debate about whose turn it is to wash up. The oak seat turns honey-coloured when the sun creeps across the floor, while the chrome frame winks back at the toaster.

Designed by Jørgen Rasmussen, the Kevi 2060 measures 79 cm in height, 53 cm in width and 51 cm in depth, with a 47 cm seat height that suits most dining tables. Here the wood is finished in 300 Oak and the frame in 44C Chrome, a pairing that feels equally at home beside a farmhouse table or a glossy kitchen island. Light enough at 4.5 kg to be rearranged mid-argument, it is quietly good at keeping the peace.
