Concept: The Hinaki series represents David Trubridge's first step into the world of lighting in 1995. The inspiration for the design comes from fishing tools that go by the name Hinaki in Maori. These fishing tools were traditionally made from woven vines and could have unique and beautiful shapes. With this series , David Trubridge manages to capture the essence of these fishing tools and translate them into unique and aesthetically pleasing lamps that at the same time pay tribute to Maori culture. The lamps are delivered in environmentally friendly packaging and are easy to assemble.
