inspired by tailoring techniques, Level Rug and Seam Rug combine experimental design with precision – an approach that stems from designer Urd Moll’s background in the fashion world. The result is two distinct rug collections that are both timeless and innovative.
"The idea behind the collections was to reflect the construction and references of tailoring – suits, weaving techniques, layering and pattern details. As the design evolved, I focused on combining these elements in new ways, giving life to two unique products, each with its own story," explains Urd Moll.
Hand-tufted in 100% wool, the Level Rug plays with textural contrasts through varying pile heights. The monochrome color palette is subtly broken by shifts in level, creating the illusion of tonal differences and giving the rug depth and character – an elegant interpretation of fashion in interior form.
